They are not the same. Each one is different, otherwise, they would all be called the same name. In this lesson, we look at how do we look at other faiths, or religions, and test them with what is true. First, you have to ask 3 questions: Who is the hero? How do people get to heaven? What writings do they hold on to? Once you answer them, How do you know if it passes or fails? Well, in the past we looked at how the Bible is 100% accurate without fault. That it is Truth. There is nothing you or I can do to get into heaven. Your actions cannot save you! There is only one way into heaven and that is faith in Jesus Christ. Believing that he died on the cross, rose again, and is now seated at the right hand of God. But what does that mean…”Faith”? Many people say it’s believing in what you can’t see. To me, that doesn’t answer the question. So take a look at Mark 12:29-31. What does faith look like? Strength – this is honoring God with our physical body. Mind – honoring God with our thought life. Soul – honoring God by worshiping ONLY him. Heart – honoring God with our passions and desires James 2 says that faith with out actions is pointless. Yes, it’s by faith that we are saved, but how will people know about our faith unless they see it? They have a group called “Youth Crew”. It’s a group of college students that go to a variety of churches to run the youth night. For us, they came in a ran a bunch of games and competitions, gave away free t-shirts, shared a message about peer pressure that went along with the video posted above.
