Levi Johnson

My name is Levi Johnson and I graduated from Bethel University last spring. I am currently a Toddler teacher and I love working with children in the St. Paul area. My favorite music group is Arcade Fire and my favorite film series is the original Star Wars trilogy. I also love watching football and hanging out with friends. This will be a great year in Jr. High and I am excited to meet and get to know all of our new students!

 

Fawnda Norman

I am a Middle School Math teacher turned mom to a 2 year old son and I am expecting a daughter this January through Adoption.  (Both of our Kids are adopted from Korea.)  My husband, Jason, is a wonderful man and we enjoy hanging out as a family. Some of our favorite things to do a family include: Taking walks, playing at a park, shopping at Home Depot (they have the best carts for kids to ride in!) and playing in the back yard.  When Jason and I have time alone together we enjoy eating out and watching movies.

My favorite memories from Junior High School include:

Going to Trout Lake Camp, talking on the phone to my best friend (We would call each other before school in the morning right before we would see each other on the bus… we were addicted!), and hanging out with my youth group, it really made Jr. High so much better… which is why I am so excited to be part of the jr. high youth leaders at North Haven!

James Mitton is a Junior at Bethel University. He is studying relational communiction. In his free time James likes to play sports and hang out with friends.

 

 

 

 

Jake Schak

Hi everyone that reads this my name is Jake I grew up in St. Paul MN, I am married to my lovely wife Angela. I love sports basketball, football, paintball pretty much anything with the ending ball in it I will play. I am currently in the MN Army National Guard serving as a Military Police officer. I am also finishing a degree in Law Enforcement and I am also a certified EMT. What else I love Jesus and thank him every day for dying on the cross for God’s perfect plan. Angela Schak

My name is Angela Schak. I live in Maplewood, MN with my amazing husband Jake.  I currently work for University Funding Professionals.  I am originally from WI and will always love the Packers.  I have gone to school at Covenant Bible College in Colorado and Northwestern College in St. Paul and have a B.S. in Christian Education and Social Science.  I have worked at Lake Beauty Bible Camp as a summer staff counselor and full-time as the Program Director.  I love photography, traveling (my pic is standing in the Red Sea!), camping, football (real and fantasy), working with senior citizens,  family/camping/youth ministry, cheese, parsnips, mountains, mint hot cocoa, campfires, stars but ultimately I love seeing God through nature and people.

Shane Johnson

Hey, I’m Shane. I grew up in northern MN, and ended up in the Cities when I chased a girl down here and changed her last name. Now I’m going to school at Bethel University and “tons of homework.” I love playing most any sports, I’m obsessed with music, and I love snowboarding, wakeboarding and barefoot skiing. Most importantly, I know that following Jesus is the coolest thing that can be done in life! Some of my best memories from high school are hanging out with my family and hunting with my dad and brothers.

 

Trey Thompson

I am married to Nicole Thompson.  I have three children, Neal (7), Caitlin (5), Elisabeth (3). I am originally from Tulsa, OK and have lived in Lawrence KS, Denver CO, Chicago IL, Minneapolis and Maplewood. I am a financial advisor and like to play tennis and work in the yard in my “spare” time. When I am not working, I am playing with my kids or coaching. I really enjoy working with youth and I hope to challenge the youth with counter culture thoughts. Most of which are: God is good, kids are not entitled and parents are on their side. Favorite high school moment would be either winning state in soccer or cross country.

Ashley Haynes

I currently work as a reading tutor at Hiawatha Elementary School with grades K-3rd. I graduated from Northwestern College with a degree in English, and I hope to continue on to graduate school nex year. I live in Little Canada with my amazing roommate. I love reading! Books have always been a huge passion of mine, and my favorites range from Charles Dickens to CS Lewis and yes, JK Rowling. I also really enjoy speaking in front of crowds, and in college, I competed state-wide in forensics. Thus, as a part-time job, I also work as a college and high school speech coach. I am really looking forward to a great year with the high school youth group.
