Have you ever been asked a question that makes you feel uncomfortable? The topic in this message is that type of question.

“What does the Bible say about homosexuality?”

Homosexuality is a sin. Read Romans 1:24-27. God’s word is clear. It is sin. But so is lying, cheating, stealing, murder, lust, abuse of any kind, and a few more. Our society has taken homosexuality out of the ‘sin’ category. Almost to point of encouraging it.

All sin separates us from God. Read Romans 3:23. Every sin has a consequence. Some are worse than others. For example, telling a small lie to get out of trouble. Not the ‘worst’ thing in the world, right? On the other hand, murder. The consequence for that is much larger and harder than the little lie. The ultimate consequence to all sin, no matter what the earthly consequence is, separates us from God. ALL SIN separates us from God. To God, there is no difference from lying and murder. It separates us. The same is true with homosexuality, it separates us from God.

So what happened? Our world has made right what God says is wrong. Just because our media says it’s OK, doesn’t mean it is OK. The truth is this…Romans 10:13. If we call on Jesus’ name we will be saved from sin. See, sin = death but Jesus = eternal life.
